The German International University offers German Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees and applies rules and regulations of university Admission in Germany (“Hochschulzugangsberechtigung”)
Students are requested to present a high school certificate from a secondary school that is accepted as “allgemeine Hochschulreife (Abitur)” “fachgebundene Hochschulreife (fachgebundenes Abitur)” or an Equivalent certificate.

In case of not fulfilling Admission requirements as requested in Germany (“Hochschulzugangsberechtigung”), students will follow the Admission requirements to study Foundation semester(s)/courses offered in coordination with the German University in Cairo – GUC

  • Abitur-Certificate stamped by the school, the German Embassy and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs + stamp of الإدارة العامة للإمتحانات, Cairo. Certified copies “beglaubigte Kopie” will not be considered as original certificates.
  • Abitur Zeugnis in any other language than English or Arabic should be translated into English or Arabic and stamped with the required stamps as mentioned above. (Both the original and the translation must be stamped).
  • Edadeyya Certificate (National system) or proof of 12 years of schooling (International system) stamped by school and certified by the Educational Zone the school belongs to.

All Islamic subjects are not calculated during the evaluation of the final percentage.

2. Qualifying subjects

  • A scientific-oriented Thanaweyya Amma is required for studying in the Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Informatics & Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Engineering and Biotechnology and Physical Therapy specializations
  • A non-scientific-oriented Thanaweyya Amma graduate is eligible to study in Business Administration and Design specializations
Other certificates will be examined and evaluated by the GIU Admission office according to each certificate qualifications.
