Professor- Associate Professor- Lecturer in Mathematics
Job profile:
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated applicant to join our Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching in our international master’s programs, as well as teach courses for programs in other departments.
Responsibilities include:
• Conducting research in applied mathematics.
• Collaborating in research programs and interdisciplinary cooperation projects.
• Independently teaching courses in applied mathematics and scientific computing.
• Supervising students and conducting exams.
• Participating in organizational and administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include:
• A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of core mathematical concepts, theories, and techniques across a wide range of mathematical disciplines, including calculus, linear algebra, analytic geometry, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, differential equations, and numerical methods.
• Familiarity with advanced mathematical topics relevant to the specific courses the lecturer will be teaching, such as mathematical modeling, optimization, or computational mathematics.
• Ability to stay current with the latest developments and research in the field of mathematics.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, academic departments, and the broader academic community.
• Ability to contribute to the overall academic and administrative responsibilities of the department or university.
Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have a record of accomplishment in independent and applied research.
