Teaching Assistant position

The responsibilities that you will be mastering:
• Teach undergraduate-level classes, administer exams and assign grades
• Attend and observe classes of the course to which you are assigned
• Able to communicate and discuss assigned duties with the Course supervisor and effectively coordinate instructional efforts
• Organize and prepare tutorial materials
• Grade assignments, projects and exams.
• Assist students with course material during office hours, and answer emails from students to ensure proper understanding of the course material
• Observe and record student performance as requested to assess progress.
• Take class attendance and maintain attendance records
• Participate in staff meetings and committees
• Contribute to administrative duties
Required skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree holder, teaching experience is preferred
• Needs to be able to work independently
• Must be enthusiastic about engaging with students about learning
• An ability to build good working relationships with workmates and students
• Good organizational skills
• Flexibility and creativity
• Ability to manage groups of students and deal with challenging behavior
• Communication skills and knowledge with common software applications.
• Be approachable, helpful, and familiar with the course content and assignments.
• Effective organization skills to manage time and prioritize as appropriate teaching and administrative duties
