Job Summary:
The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing the core Human Resources functions at the university, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, processes, and initiatives. The role covers a wide range of HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR operations.
The HR Specialist works closely with academic and administrative departments to ensure smooth HR services while maintaining compliance with university policies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
• Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and candidate communication.
• Coordinate with departments to identify hiring needs and prepare job descriptions.
• Support the selection and onboarding process for academic and administrative staff.
• Maintain a pool of qualified candidates for future academic and administrative vacancies.
2. Onboarding & Employee Integration
• Facilitate onboarding processes for new employees to ensure smooth integration into the university environment.
• Coordinate orientation sessions and provide new hires with relevant information regarding policies, procedures, and organizational culture.
3. Performance Management
• Support the implementation of the university’s performance management processes.
• Coordinate performance review cycles and follow up with departments to ensure timely completion.
• Assist managers in setting objectives and monitoring performance development plans.
4. Learning & Development
• Identify training needs in coordination with departments.
• Coordinate training programs, workshops, and development initiatives for academic and administrative staff.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness.
5. Employee Relations
• Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related matters.
• Support the resolution of workplace issues in alignment with HR policies and university regulations.
• Promote a positive work environment and support employee engagement initiatives.
6. HR Policies & Compliance
• Ensure the implementation and adherence to HR policies and procedures.
• Assist in updating HR policies and internal guidelines as needed.
• Support compliance with university regulations and applicable labor laws.
7. HR Reporting & Operations
• Maintain HR records and databases related to recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Prepare HR reports and statistics as required by management.
• Support HR projects and strategic initiatives aimed at improving HR services and processes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within the education or university sector.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
