The Faculty of Physical Therapy invites applications for the following position, effective September 2026/2027
The GIU is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to join our Physical Therapy faculty. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to our students, aiding them in their journey to become skilled Physical Therapists.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with faculty members to develop instructional materials and resources for Physical Therapy courses.
• Assist in preparing and delivering lectures, laboratory sessions, and practical demonstrations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them grasp complex concepts and techniques.
• Conduct small group sessions and facilitate discussions to enhance student understanding and engagement.
• Assist in grading assignments, quizzes, and exams, providing constructive feedback to foster student growth.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in Physical Therapy to bring relevant insights to the classroom.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Work experience as a physiotherapist.
• Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts.
• Proficiency in utilizing teaching aids and technology to enhance student learning.
• A passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
• Preferred Specialization:
Biomechanics
Basic Sciences in Physical Therapy.
Physical therapy for surgery
Physical therapy for neurology and neurosurgeries
Physical therapy for cardiopulmonary
Physical therapy for pediatrics
Physical therapy for orthopedics and its surgeries
Physical therapy for women’s health.
