The Faculty of Engineering and Basic Sciences invites applications for the following position effective September 2024/ February 2025.

Job profile:

We are looking for candidates with a highly qualified academic staff to join the Physics department. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct introductory courses for Engineering and Pharmacy students with a diverse High school background. Develop and establish research programs in Physics in cooperation with other Faculties. He/ She will be required to Teach advanced Physics-related courses in Engineering / Pharmacy.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics (Preferably Experimental / Applied Physics with links to Engineering / Life Sciences).
• Strong teaching interest and experience, preferably with Engineering / Science students (Physics as foundation subject) with strong student’s orientation.
• Openness for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Readiness to do start-up work for the development of research programs.

Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have conducted eminent industry-related research in the discipline of Physics, which is clearly reflected in publications in high-quality academic journals and peer-reviewed books.
